We are independent DSTV installers based on Princess Street. Careful work, tidy cable runs, and we turn up when we say we will.
Local DSTV work, not a call centre
Working one area means we already know the awkward parts. Which slopes sit in a signal shadow, which roofs take the wind, and which complexes have a communal system that nobody has touched in years.
We are accredited installers. Monday to Saturday for booked work, and emergency callouts when a house has gone dark.
Hout Bay is properly coastal. The kit pays for it.
What sea air does to a satellite setup
This is the difference between here and the towns inland. It is worth building for.
Salt air rusts dish fixings from the inside
Ordinary plated bolts bleed rust streaks down a wall within a season or two, and the dish starts to move. We use stainless or galvanised fixings and seal the wall penetration.
LNBs fail earlier on the coast than inland
Salt works into the housing and the seals. The first sign is usually the picture breaking up in light rain, long before it goes completely. A weather boot on the connector buys years.
Water travels down the satellite cable run
An unsealed F connector wicks moisture straight into the cable. We fit a drip loop, seal the joint and clip the run so it is not sitting in a gutter line.
